Responsibilities
Work as a member of the operating department to evaluate and improve safety, production and operating costs primarily in the Paper Machine department area. Initiate and maintain improvement projects on a long-tern basis. Serve as a technical resource for process optimization in the W3 paper machine area. Must be well versed in the basic tools of TQ, including the proper use of control charts for process analysis and improvement. Must have good data analysis skills and be able to lead teams in problem-solving, trouble-shooting and process improvement. Will occasionally provide shift relief on a limited basis.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Technology preferred). Self-Motivated team player who is results-oriented. In addition, must have demonstrated analytical skills and be willing to take innovative approaches to process improvement. Good communication skills and interpersonal skills are required. Some shift-work must be acceptable. Experience in paper manufacturing is preferred. Ability to occasionally work rotating shifts.
